No. The printer is designed to be simple to use, and we provide training and step by step resources. Teachers don't need any background in 3D printing, CAD or engineering to get started.

Onboarding training through pre-recorded videos and written guides, with the option of in person training depending on your plan and location. The aim is to help teachers feel confident, not to turn them into specialists.

The resources are prepared for you, so preparation is minimal. Depending on the lesson, pupils might design a model, adapt a ready made one, or test a prepared print.

3D printing can be introduced safely with sensible rules, the right placement and adult supervision. It is not risk free, though: printers have hot parts and moving parts, so they are always supervised by an adult. We provide risk assessments, safe operating guidance and age appropriate classroom rules.
